Kintsugi (meaning “joining with gold”) reminds us that there is great beauty in broken things because scars tell a story. They demonstrate fortitude, wisdom, and resilience, earned through the passage of time. The kintsugi technique is an extension of the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, which sees beauty in the incomplete and value in simplicity. We celebrate the imperfections or golden scars!

Modern Meditation offers healthy eating classes. Nutrition has the largest impact on our overall fitness.  We consult and provide hands-on classes on ways to create easy, healthy meals. We use seasonal vegetables to create delectable dishes with a Caribbean and American flare.

Modern Mediation aspires to change generational mindsets towards the mind, body and soul connection. We provide mindful meditation services, heathy eating lessons, and fitness options to individuals and groups. We teach mediation methods which cognitively reframe oneself and emotionally regulate the mind in distressing times.

  We use healthy food to fuel the mind and provide classes to engage the community in health-conscious choices.  We provide self-defense classes which increase resilience and strengthen the body.
